Neurofeedback

Breathe In. Transform. Thrive.

Brain training that helps your brain learn healthier patterns and function more efficiently.

What Is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is brain training that helps the brain learn healthier patterns and function more efficiently.

Using EEG sensors, brain activity is monitored in real time while the brain receives feedback that encourages self-regulation and improved performance.

Over time, neurofeedback can help strengthen focus, emotional balance, and resilience.

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, drug-free therapy which trains the brain to regulate its own activity through feedback based on audio and visual cues. First, a brain map (qEEG) is created by matching brain activity (using passive electrodes which are fitted to the scalp) with the patient’s symptom reports. This generates a treatment plan which identifies negative brain patterns (i.e. mental fatigue, inattentiveness, distractedness, hyperarousal, hyperemotionality, melancholy, anxiousness).

Neurofeedback trains the brain to occupy healthier patterns through successive brain training sessions. It recognizes positive changes in brain activity which are more aligned with desired moods and behaviors and encourages them until they become increasingly more automatic.

Typically, patients report an increase in energy, focus, and notice more flexibility and resilience for the adversities they face in life following a neurofeedback regimen. 10-20 sessions is a typical recommendation for patients with moderate symptoms, but patients may stop treatment at any point without adverse effects. Any amount of brain training increases healthy brain activity, though longstanding, entrenched negative brain habits are often most responsive to a committed approach spanning several months.
